So I guess because of this, all prisoners will have to relinquish their nail clippers to the guards. Opening up a whole new segment for the local manicurists.

The "Sask." in the article's topic stands for "Saskatchewan" the province, not Saskatoon the city. The prisoners escaped from a correctional centre in Regina, SK.

Basically the prisoners stated they did it because they were bored, and didn't think they'd actually make it.

Prisons need more fun activities!
