From the comments:

Bravo

You spent 20 minutes on the wayback machine.

I'm going to see what the failblog looked like when it started.
Hilarious.

the wayback machine, archive.org is very well known. You might as well as point to amazon.com as a place to shop.

This is an actual article, that also links to the waybackmachine. It has screenshots from a number of popular sites, and a little story that adds to it. Though it's not the coolest thing I've seen on here today, it's definately worthy of being here, and doesn't deserve a downvote (IMHO).

For the record, I never downvoted a thing! Just thought it was funny a commenter saw an angle.

Heh, didn't say it was you, and now that I checked the karma levels, I think I was a bit quick on accusing bernard as well (sorry bernard). Was more a general statement anyways. Someone downvoted it though.

yes I downvoted and I believe it to be a valid use of the downvote.

Sure it is an article. We still wouldn't except an article on amazon.com, google.com, or similar.

The article doesn't change that it is about something that most already know of.

It has been posted:

It has been posted and deleted more than once besides the ones listed above.

Oye Vey

It was new to me, which is why I posted it and linked the older post.
I didn't link the other three because they're ancient.

Bottom line, if anyone feels so strongly about a link they feel they need to dv it...let em.

Wow some of these sites (Goggle, craigslist) are older than I thought while others (myspace) feels like they have been around forever and just won't die.
