I find it funny that people are proud of the fact that their Phone just makes a ringing sound.
Why should it?
Old style analogue phones made a ringing sounds because they had bells on them. Modern digital phones don't have bells so why should they ring?
If you take into consideration the evolution of say, trains and compare the roaring monsters we have today with the early steam engines which hissed and chuffed and went "toot toot" then there is obviously an evolution of the sound they make due to the form they take.
No-one ever complains that they aren't getting on a train until they see steam gushing out from the underside so why complain when a phone does something other than ring.
I'm also guessing these people whose phones "ring" don't still live in caves and eat meat raw?
Mine plays "Still alive" from Portal as it is subtle, quiet and also very funny.
Edit to add - I'm not getting into that car until there is a horse in front of it!
